What is a Nature Pool?

A nature pool, also called a natural swimming pool or biological pool, is a swimming area that stays clean through natural filtration rather than chemical treatment. The water is purified by aquatic plants and microorganisms living in a dedicated regeneration zone beside the swimming area.

The concept has been established in Europe for over 30 years. It originated in Austria and Germany, where thousands of nature pools have been built in private gardens and public spaces. The technology is proven, reliable, and increasingly popular.

Why Choose a Nature Pool?

Conventional pools rely on chlorine or salt chlorination to keep the water safe. These treatments work, but they come with trade-offs: skin and eye irritation, a persistent chemical smell, ongoing costs for chemicals, and water that cannot be discharged into the environment without treatment.

A nature pool sidesteps all of that. The water is biologically alive, balanced by the plants and organisms that inhabit it. It is gentle to swim in and genuinely pleasant — more like swimming in a clear mountain lake than a conventional pool.
